The Mission:
Design a novelty race for Red Bull's F1 drivers that is undeniably Australian.
(Un)serious Racing
Red Bull approached us with the opportunity to concept and shoot a uniquely Australian edition of their (Un)serious racing series. A popular social and PR series where Red Bull's elite F1 drivers are faced off in almost anything but racecars.
We decided that nothing represents Australia quite like our beaches, and what better to race, than the iconic surf lifesaving buggies.
Timed to coincide with the Melbourne F1, we only had access to the drivers for a strict three hour window door to door.
So we took over the closest beach to Melbourne's Albert park and got to work.
