The Mission: Make Wednesday the most talked about show in Australia.
Wednesday Island
For the launch of Wednesday Season Two, Netflix hosted the biggest event in Australian TV history - a one of a kind, immersive experience that involved a complete takeover of Cockatoo Island for a thousand die-hard fans.
Our job was to bring this event to life on socials and make it unmissable - globally.
We did this in three stages over the week long campaign:
1.
We hosted a Netflix global livestream across Instagram and TikTok, broadcasting the moment that Gwendoline Christie appeared in front of a shocked audience of passionate fans, media and influencers to reveal her dramatic return in Season 2.
2.
We held a dedicated social shoot with the core cast members to create 20+ original assets tailored for Australian and APAC markets.
3.
During the event, we captured, edited and posted 20+ pieces of both planned and reactive content. This resulted in Wednesday Island being completely unmissable on social feeds around Australia and globally.
